Mike will be talking about his book From Sea to Service. The book begins with the miraculous rescue of a young boy, Marc Nguyen, from the terrors of the Vietnam war. After a rough start in New Orleans, he eventually settled in Boston. He excelled in school athletics and was accepted into the US Coast Guard Academy. He retired as a Coast Guard Commander in 2007. From Sea to Service is a story of remarkable determination, resilience and contribution that is an inspiration for all who struggle with daunting challenges. |
